Helen Kirkum Studio founded by Helen Kirkum, offers made to order one off handmade sneakers from recycled sneaker components, as well as creative design consultancy to brands looking for a forward thinking, avant grade perspective on footwear.

Helen Kirkum is an Artist and Designer based in East London, founding the studio in 2017 to create and showcase her reworking of discarded and recycled sneakers, the craftsmanship of handmade footwear, with an emphasis of human agency and stories. The sneakers become wearable collages that fuse the process of wearing and making, challenging our visions of materiality and newness, to create something we recognise but which we are not used to seeing.

The Studio’s past and present client lists include: adidas, Reebok, Byredo, Takashi Murakami’s Sneakers for Breakfast - Complex Con, Timberland - Construct 10061, The Salvages, Highsnobiety, SwissSneaks, Casely Hayford, Depop, CMMN SWDN, Per Götesson.
